Description

This is the day that captures Arenal in a luxurious key: the power of the volcano, the freshness of its most famous waterfall and the warmth of its thermal waters, all with a private guide and vehicle. The itinerary is designed so every moment flows naturally, from the first steps on the trail to the last drink at dusk.

The day begins at the foot of Arenal Volcano with an easy hike through forest that has grown over the 1968 lava. Your guide explains how that eruption reshaped the region and leads you to the 1992 flow, where you can walk on volcanic rock with views of the cone, the lake and Cerro Chato. Howler monkeys, coatis and tropical birds often keep you company along the way.

Next comes La Fortuna Waterfall. Roughly 500 steps lead through the jungle to the base of this cascade of about 70 meters, where cold, crystal-clear water invites a swim in the river. It is the perfect contrast before the most relaxing part of the day.

The grand finale is Eco Termales, one of La Fortuna's most exclusive hot springs. Its limited capacity ensures a peaceful atmosphere, with natural pools of different temperatures tucked into tropical gardens, warm cascades and a poolside bar. After soaking in the volcano's heat, you will enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel, thoroughly renewed.
