Description

For those who want to pack a single day with adrenaline, scenery and laughter, this combo brings together the best of the Central Pacific coast, just an hour and a half from San Jose. You decide how to live it: choose two activities and we take care of everything else, from transportation to lunch.

On the way to Jaco we make an unmissable stop at the Tarcoles River bridge. From above you can see dozens of American crocodiles, some longer than thirteen feet, basking on the sandbanks while herons and roseate spoonbills patrol the shore. It is one of the most impressive crocodile gatherings in Central America.

At the adventure park, nestled in rainforest-covered hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the fun begins. You can soar over the canopy on a zip line circuit of cables and platforms strung between giant trees; drive an ATV along dirt roads, through streams and mud to a hidden waterfall; or ride horseback at an easy pace through pastures and forest to cool off in a natural pool. If you prefer the ocean, a surf lesson on Jaco Beach with patient instructors is perfect for beginners, and for those with a sweet tooth, the chocolate experience traces cacao's journey from pod to bar.

Between activities we enjoy fresh fruit and a buffet lunch of traditional dishes, and safety gear and bilingual guides are with you every step of the way. By the end of the day, between dust, splashes and photos, you'll head back to the Central Valley feeling you've experienced Costa Rica in its purest form.
